Standing next to Doug Martsch during the Raveonettes and then listening to him croon and head twich and shred his way through most of Keep It Like A Secret while getting a few minutes of fireworks was a small piece of perfection, and one of the few moments I want to save from 2009.
I’m so damn happy they apparently love that album, a ten year old album!, as much as I do. What I really wanted from the setlist (lots of Secret + “Big Dipper”) was exactly what I got. Just as what I really wanted from Friday-Sunday (seeing good music in perfect weather with friends while wearing cute dresses) was exactly what I got every day.
