Britt Daniel
“Written In Reverse”
Live at Sound Fix Records in Brooklyn, 1/23/2010

Another song from Britt’s solo show yesterday. I love this version, it’s so simple and raw as an acoustic blues tune. Man, the voice on this guy! In addition to this and “The Mystery Zone,” he did two other songs: “The Beast and Dragon, Adored” and “I Summon You”.

You know when, nine years into loving something (say, your favorite band of all time), you realize you love it more than ever, so much that you just don’t know what to do with yourself save listen to all their albums on repeat like you haven’t heard them hundreds of times apiece? To the point that I just listened to “The Agony of Laffitte” three times in a row! Three times!! “The Agony of Laffitte,” of all songs!!

Anyway, I could relive these twenty minutes, these four songs, all day. There’s also another shitty version of this on youtube, filmed from way back in the crowd, that prominently features the back of my head.
