Meanwhile, as I watched ESPN at the gym yesterday afternoon, the reporters cataloging the NL East chuckled (they really did) and asked, “How long do you think the Mets can stay in it?” The reply? “They’re in it right now!” And more chuckling (seriously, chuckling).
